2017 Mid-Year Market Report
For the first half of 2017, the real estate market in Naples was very hot. April, May, and June proved very strong, and July sold more existing homes than in January or February. Both first and second quarter, 2017 sales were exceptional, with a 7% increase in second quarter over second quarter of 2016. Pending sales jumped 9% over 2016. The high-end market showed healthy increases in the $1-2 million range, up 15 %. Pending sales for properties over $2 million were up 30% over second quarter, 2016.
In the "luxury market", sales over $1 million for single family homes were higher. First and second quarter, 2017 sales numbered 485 homes sold, compared to 461homes sold in first two quarters of 2016.
Condo sales were also higher, specifically in Old Naples, and beach areas, and North Naples, with double digit increases over 2016. Overall condo sales increased by 9% over 2016.
